Depth, discipline, and the freedom to become.

The teenage years are a pivotal time - a stage of growing self- awareness, shifting identity, and an increasing desire to be taken seriously. Amethyst is built for exactly that. Through focused, purposeful training, dancers build strength, control, musicality, and expressive depth, while developing the discipline, resilience, and personal responsibility that carries them far beyond the studio. Amethyst offers a structured, deeply supportive environment where dancers refine technique, deepen artistry, and develop real performance quality.
Each class supports growth through:
π Advanced technical training across multiple styles
π Development of artistry, musical interpretation, and performance quality
π Emphasis on discipline, consistency, and personal accountability
π Opportunities to push limits, embrace challenge, and grow through it
π A strong culture of ensemble, mutual respect, and shared commitment
Amethyst dancers experience:
π Meaningful performance opportunities that build genuine confidence and professionalism
π The annual production as a platform for refined, expressive performance
π Leadership development through the DanceStep leadership program
π A studio community defined by belonging, mentorship, and shared passion
As they move through the Amethyst programme, dancers emerge with strong technical foundations, a deepened connection to their artistry, and the maturity and capability to pursue whatever comes next - whether that's advanced training, performance pathways, or simply a lifelong relationship with dance.
Amethyst classes are kept intentionally small - because at this level, the quality of the relationship between a dancer and their teacher matters enormously. Your dancer won't be one of many. They'll be known - their strengths, their challenges, their goals - and taught accordingly. That's not something that happens in a large class. It's something we protect here.
Parents who value a genuine balance of technical excellence, creativity, and wellbeing - and want their dancers to develop in an environment where they're truly seen and invested in. Where discipline and self-belief grow together, and where the culture is as important as the curriculum:

π Resilience and personal responsibility
π Deep, lasting friendships

Finding the right class placement for your dancer is something we take seriously. We'll work closely with you and your dancer to find the right programme and level to match their experience and goals.
We encourage you to reach out directly so we can have that conversation - we'd love to hear about where they are and where they want to go.
For the first class, any appropriate dancewear and suitable shoes are perfect. Once class placement is confirmed, we'll help fit your dancer for their Amethyst uniform.
We'll also provide everything you need to know about the appropriate shoes and dance attire for each class
Our classes are kept intentionally small so that every dancer receives genuine personal attention and is truly part of the group dynamic.
At this level, the connection between a dancer and their teacher - and between the dancers themselves - is what allows real growth to happen. That's something we protect carefully.
Due to space and safety, parents arenβt able to stay in the studio during class- but thereβs a welcoming waiting area just outside, and youβre always welcome to check in. Through our parent app, you'll receive regular photos, videos and class updates that keep you closely connected to your dancer's journey, even from outside the room.
Enrolling directly into a regular class gives your dancer the best possible entry into the programme - allowing them to settle naturally into the group, build genuine connections, and engage fully from the very first session.
Classes fill quickly, and enrolling secures their place.
Our four-lesson Heartfelt Promise means you can join with complete confidence.
